And all I see are the petals as the thorns pierce my skin. And I’ve turned a blind eye to that which I’ve not forgotten. Must I break to shed myself? The silence it deafens me. As I watch those close to me mourn. I can’t be so far inside myself that I have forgotten how to reach.
